Maymufa (or the Company) was established in 1976, as the marketing and distribution agent of VO5 Shampoo series in Taiwan. The company has since expanded and diversified to include three business units: Hair/Skin Care, Pharmaceutical Sales, and Chain Retail Pharmacy. In 1998, the company ventured into new drug development business by funding PhytoHealth Corporation, which, like Maywufa, is a public company listed on Taiwan Stock Exchange.

Maywufa offers a wide range of hair and skin care products and has been a Gold Winner of Readers’ Digest Trusted Brand Award since 2005. The Instant Hair Coloring Cream series are market leader with 50% market share in Taiwan.

The Company has been the local partner representing Novartis, Bristol Myers Squibb, Novo Nordisk, HRA, Expanscience, Hisamitsu, Zenyaku, Mariannebolle, Toa Seiyaku, Daiichi Sankyo, etc. The distribution network of Maywufa covers 500 hospitals, 3000 clinics, 5000 pharmacies, 198 regional distributors, and 7380 groceries.

Our retail pharmacy chain is the largest and most professionally recognized in Taiwan, well positioned to serve the needs of patients in a new national health care system, in compliance with the government policy encouraging non-hospital affiliated pharmacies and the dispensing of chronic disease medications.
